Bronx Legal Community unites for CANS FOR CREDIT

The Bronx Bar Association, the Bronx County Catholic Guild, the Bronx Family Court Bar Association, the Bronx Women’s Bar Association, the Dominican Bar Association, the Jewish Lawyers Guild, the Metropolitan Black Bar Association and the Puerto Rican Bar Association are happy to announce a series of one hour CLE programs in the first week of December in the Bronx Courts.  One program will be held in the Bronx Hall of Justice (265 East 161st Street), one program will be held in the Bronx County Courthouse (851 Grand Concourse), and one will be held in the Bronx Family Court Courthouse (900 Sheridan Avenue).  The “price” of admission of each program will be $10 and 5 canned goods, or $15 – the attendee’s choice.  The proceeds from the programs will be donated to the Bronx Office of the Family Justice Center, a program of New York City government that combats domestic violence.

•  DECEMBER 6 (TUESDAY) – DISCOVERY IN CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS presented by MARVIN RAY RASKIN, ESQ., THE BRONX HALL OF JUSTICE (265 East 161st Street, room 620) – 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Graciously accredited by the Puerto Rican Bar Association.

•  DECEMBER 7 (WEDNESDAY) – APPELLATE CONSIDERATIONS FOR THE CIVIL LITIGATOR presented by JOHN HIGGITT, ESQ., THE BRONX COUNTY COURTHOUSE (851 Grand Concourse, room 600) – 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Graciously accredited by the Bronx Bar Association.

•  DECEMBER 8 (THURSDAY) – DISCOVERY IN FAMILY COURT MATTERS presented by KEITH BROWN, ESQ., THE BRONX FAMILY COURT COURTHOUSE (900 Sheridan Avenue, 9th floor library) – 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Graciously accredited by the Bronx Family Court Bar Association.
